Abdullahi Ibrahim, a renowned northern politician and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader, has taken a shot at the Bola Tinubu administration by comparing it to the previous administration as the country continues to writhe under the tremendous suffering brought on by the growing cost of living.

The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Abdullahi, said during an interview on Wednesday night’s episode of ARISE TV’s “Prime Time” programme that the harsh economic realities that Nigerians are facing under the current administration have caused them to miss the Buhari regime despite its alleged total failure to govern the nation over the previous eight years.

“Don’t forget, this government inherited one of the worst situations in human history, namely the eight years under President Muhammadu Buhari,” he said. Nigerians said that everything was open to change on that basis. Giving this government the benefit of the doubt was the reason they first permitted it to exist.

However, if you have followed the happenings from yesterday to today, you would see that Buhari was absolutely correct when he claimed we would miss him. And we are already missing him. That a regime as bad as Buhari’s would seem to be welcomed at this time is tragic and regrettable.
