Some weeks before his unceremonious elimination from a re-election attempt, Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode gave the approval for the construction of a flyover bridge at Fagba intersection, at the Iju-Ishaga axis.

According to him, this is to ease the perennial traffic gridlock and reduce travel time within the axis.

The proposed flyover bridge at Fagba would have brought to 4 the number of bridge projects that the Ambode administration would have embarked upon if he had been re-elected as the governor of Lagos state. We can only wait to find out if the next Governor of Lagos state will continue the Fagba flyover bridge project.

Nonetheless, just within a four-year tenure, Governor Ambode was able to construct 2 new flyover bridges and started another one that is fast approaching completion.

The proliferation of brand new flyover bridges at diverse locations in Lagos state is part of the elaborate length that the Ambode administration went through to provide a solution to the legendary traffic challenge in Lagos state.

Autojosh.com chronicles the bridges –flyovers – that the Ambode administration have built and is currently constructing across Lagos state.
