Davido Teases Joint Mixtape With Grammy-Nominated Star, Tory Lanez

Last year was the first time we heard Tory Lanez and Davido mentioned in the same sentence — Sean Kingston announced that he’d enlisted them for a single. While that never dropped, we still got to hear them work together on Casanova’s “2AM”.

Now, Davido has taken to Instagram to tease that he and Lanez will be teaming up for a joint mixtape, and we are understandably hyped.

Following the unexpected reach of his 2017 single, “Fall”, Davido seems to be on a mission to ensure he successfully crosses over into the American market, and this project with Tory Lanez could certainly take him one step closer to achieving that goal.

With over 20 projects and a Grammy nomination to his name, Tory Lanez is one of the most hard-working musicians in the game, and when he isn’t starting fights with other artists or overstating his rap prowess, he is releasing rather impressive songs.

So, while we aren’t sure when (or if) this project will actually be released — it wouldn’t be the first time the afropop star teased a project that never materialised — we are still rather excited to hear the magic Davido and Tory Lanez could potentially create.

Listen to them collaborate on Casanova’s “2AM”:
