Last year, Ladipoe finally came through with his long-awaited debut project, Talk About Poe — a remarkable body of work that introduced him to a much wider audience. Now, the Mavin Records star is back with a brand new single that shows off his versatility, “Jaiye (Time Of Our Lives)”.

Produced by label mate, Johnny Drille — the gifted multi-hyphenate who really gets to show off his range as a beatsmith — “Jaiye” is a shockingly groovy song that proves the rising rapper is capable of a lot more than we’d initially thought.

On the fantastic track, Ladipoe sings and raps about enjoying the journey he’s currently on, instead of worrying about the destination. And while the upbeat song finds him stepping out of his musical comfort zone, his lyrics remain as astute as always.

It’s crazy that he kicks off the song by saying, “I don’t know what a hit record is”, because he and Johnny Drille have certainly cooked one up. The impressive “Jaiye” feels destined to be Ladipoe’s most successful song yet, and it’s very well deserved.
