Last year, Chocolate City signee, Blaqbonez released his fantastic LP, Bad Boy Blaq — one of the multiple 2018 rap projects that was executive produced by M.I Abaga and the 10-track gem helped introduce the confident rapper to a wider audience.

Now, he’s gearing up to release the second edition of this LP, named Bad Boy Blaq Re-Up. The project will contain remixed version of the original’s standouts, and he has just given us a taste of what’s to come with a Ycee-assisted remix of “Play“.

“Play” was definitely one of the album’s most instantly engaging tracks, as it allowed us to experience a completely different side to Blaqbonez’s artistry. Throughout the song, he sings instead of rapping, showing off his impressive range.

On the remix, Ycee and Blaqbonez sing about being drawn to a girl who is clearly up to no good. While they admit that her ways are messy, they can’t deny still being entranced by her beauty — more specifically, her waist.

The accompanying video sees Blaqbones navigating a party, as he tries to gain the attention of a beautiful girl he has just met. Ycee joins him to perform his great verse, and by the end of the song, Blaqbones is confessing his love to this girl.
