Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State includes a 28-year-old female law graduate, Barrister Hannatu Bala Abimiku (Lafia), in the list of 14 nominated commissioners sent to the State House of Assembly for confirmation.
Presenting the list of the nominees before the House on Thursday, Majority Leader of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Tanko Tunga, noted that the governor submitted the nominees, which include the young female lawyer, for confirmation by the lawmakers as commissioners.
The commissioner nominees include Yakubu Kwanta (Akwanga), currently Special Adviser on Youths and Sports to the governor; Yusuf Aliyu Turaki (Awe), Aisha Rufai Ibrahim (Awe), Salihu Ena (Doma), Umar Mukailu Gurku (Karu), Nuhu Oshafu (Keana), Idris Mohammed Idris (Keffi), Abdulkarim Kana (Kokona), Mohammed Sarki Tanimu (Lafia), Fati Jimeta Sabo (Nasarawa), Mohammed Yakubu Lawal (Nasarawa Eggon), Daniel Agye-Obi, Ahmed Baba Yahaya (Toto) and Lucky Isaac (Wamba).s
Hannatu Bala Abimiku studied at Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK) where she graduated in 2016 and passed out from the Nigerian law school in 2018.
