Usifo Ataga, the slain Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Super TV, has been laid to rest.
He was buried on Friday, July 30, 2021, at Ebony Vaults, Ikoyi, Lagos, in a low-key ceremony attended by his family members, including his wife, and friends.
Politics Nigeria had reported that the state police command, last month (June 2021), paraded one Chidinma, for the alleged murder of Utaga in the Lekki area of Lagos.
While addressing journalists, Chidinma, a 21-year-old student of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), confessed to killing Utaga. Although, she later claimed the confession was made under duress.
Contradicting her initial confession, Chidinma denied her involvement in the killing of the Super TV CEO, saying some yet-to-be-identified persons accessed the service apartment they were to commit the murder.
Chidinma further said Ataga had marital problems before his death, adding that the deceased enjoyed time with her because he was tired of his wife.
According to her, Ataga was only still maritally committed to his wife for the sake of their children.
