The draw to commence the new Bet9ja Nigeria National League (NNL) season has been fixed for the 20th of March by the management of the second tier football league, reports Completesports.com.
The draw was earlier scheduled to hold on the 6th of March, but was postponed following the inability of some clubs to duly register for the 2018/2019 season.
“This makes it practically impossible to go ahead with the AGM/Draw fixed for Wednesday 6th of this month,” Lawrence Katken, the Chief Operating Officer of the NNL told reporters of the postponement of the draw.
“Since the official draw will be carried out, we do not want to work in assumption or speculation on the number of clubs that will participate in the new season.”
Katken further stated that any club that fails to register on or before Friday the 15th of March, 2019, will give the League body no option than to conduct the draw and work with the registered clubs.
