Nigeria winger Moses Simon says he is back to his best following a successful campaign with French Ligue 1 club Nantes, reports Completesports.com.

Simon, 24, enjoyed a remarkable turnaround after a gloomy spell at Spanish club Levante where he scored a paltry one goal in 19 appearances in the 2018/2019 season.

The pacy winger, who linked up with Nantes on loan from Levante last summer score nine goals and bagged eight assists in 31 appearances across all competitions for the Canaries.

The former KAA Gent of Belgium star was voted the club’s player of the season and also picked the prize for the goal of the season.

“At Levante, I did not play very well due to some circumstances with the coach,” he told ESPN.

“In Spain, the coach only spoke Spanish and I needed a translator.

“It was easier to play in France because I understand the language more and the communication is very good with the coach.

“I am enjoying my football now. The most important thing is to play. Not to sit on the bench. To have the freedom to play, have the freedom to speak. and to do what you know how to do best.”
