Following the release of his game-changing mixtape, Outside, along with a bunch of fantastic features — including Major Lazer's "All My Life" and Sauti Sol's "Afrikan Star" — Burna Boy has now dropped an aptly-titled new single, "Gbona".
"Gbona" is heavily influenced by Fela Kuti, who seems to be one of Burna Boy's biggest inspirations. As eclectic as his music is, Burna Boy manages to maintain a signature vibe without ever coming off as monotonous, which is indicative of his immense talent.
On the catchy track, Burna Boy is clearly very aware of this talent, as he sings "When the gbedu dey enter body, all the galdem dey shake their body" and "Oluwa Burna mo gbona feli", meaning he's hot and we're enjoying his songs.
Like most Burna Boy releases, we're fully expecting this to make the rounds, as it's a definite party-starter. We're sure it will be played over and over again throughout the coming months, and it certainly deserves to be the superstar's next hit.
