Since Cuppy delved into the world of making music last year with "Greenlight" featuring Tekno, she hasn't let up. She's since featured Sarkodie on "Vybe" and strangely teamed up with Charles Okocha on the remix of his parody song, "Accolades".
Well, thankfully, it looks like she's back to making serious music, as she has now enlisted L.A.X on a new track, "Currency".
L.A.X is no stranger to giving us jams, and his unusual style always manages to give us more hits than misses. "Currency" is the typical afropop song with a catchy and infectious beat, and L.A.X does most — if not all — of the heavy lifting.
The pair boast about having loads of money, and being able to spend in different currencies. The sound is certainly tailored to L.A.X's style, and that's probably why he steals the show with his verses, while Cuppy handles the hook.
While "Currency" is not one of those songs that arrests you upon first listen, we can tell that it's the kind of grower that could potentially bang in the right setting.
