Just a week after dropping the Killertunes-produced banger, "Motigbana" — a track that already feels destined to be one of 2018's biggest afropop hits — Olamide has come through with another fantastic single: "Criteria".
Solidly produced by frequent collaborator, Pheelz — the eclectic beatsmith who was behind Olamide and Phyno's most recent hit, "Onyeoma" — "Criteria" is an immensely catchy love song that finds Olamide at his most unabashedly romantic.
On the track, which seamlessly alternates between Yoruba and English, Olamide asks a woman he's crazy about to tell him what needs to do to be with her. "If you want me to love you, what's the criteria?", he sings on the chorus.
At the start of 2018, we predicted that this year was going to be one of Olamide's very best, and with gems like "Science Student", the Wizkid-assisted "Kana", "Motigbana" and now "Criteria" all under his belt, it's clear that we were right.
