M.I Abaga Slams U.S Rapper, Nas with Multi-Million Naira Lawsuit after Paying Him N18 Million for a Verse
Nigerian rapper, M.I Abaga is dragging Legendary U.S Rapper, Nas to court for failing to meet his end of an agreement.
According to reports, the issue started in 2013 when the Nigerian rap boss paid the American rapper $45,000 for a rap verse and another $5,000 to Nas’ business associate, a man named Roonie Goodman.
Though Nas delivered the requested verse, he reportedly did not mention these particular lines the Nigerian rapper specifically demanded for– “M.I, Chocolate City, Nigeria, Queens, New York – Nas’ main residence , Mandela, Trayton Martin, and the battles of Africans and African Americans.”
MI Abaga is said to have contacted Nas for a corrected verse but the American rapper went AWOL, and it is for this reason, four years later, that the Chocolate City boss has filed a lawsuit against the American rapper in the New York State Supreme Court, demanding his money back, plus $1 million in damages and also legal fees.
