Former Manchester United midfielder Anderson has been suspended by his club in Brazil after punching a teammate. Tensions boiled over during Internacional's training session on Friday, when the 28-year-old became involved in a heated scuffle with Brazil U23 defender William.
Words were exchanged after Anderson sent an effort over the bar during shooting practice. The pair then clashed physically, Anderson landing a jab on the right-back before teammates stepped in to prise the pair apart.
William attempted to exact some revenge but was eventually dragged from the scene, bleeding from the mouth.
Many Inter players crowded around the youngster after the incident, while Anderson, who last completed 90 minutes for the club back in June, trudged off the field alone after being placated by assistant coach Odair Hellman.
Both players have been suspended by the Porto Alegre club, who are fighting to stay in Brazil's Série A after a miserable run of form.
