When is San Diego Comic Con 2017? Dates, schedule, best panels, TV and film trailers and news – what to expect from SDCC
It’s that time of year again, the crazy few days when fans descend on San Diego for Comic Con.
From panels to trailers, cosplay and interactive experiences not to mention your favourite stars, all will be at SDCC17.
As well as Marvel and DC the big names will be out en force. Expect Tomb Raider, Twin Peaks, Blade Runner 2049, Ready Player One, Ocean’s Eight and Deadpool 2…and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
There’s also Walking Dead and Westworld , Game of Thrones, the DC TV shows and more.
When does it all begin?
Thursday, July 20 is when it really kicks off. There will be events until Sunday, July 23.
Where is it held?
San Diego in the Convention Center. There are all also events at the San Diego Central Library, the Hilton Bayfront Hotel, the Horton Grand Theatre, and the Marriott Marquis.
Hall H is where the big names normally have their panels.
Pilot screening of Deception as well as the most highly anticipated series of the 2017-18 television season– Krypton and Black Lightning, and the hour long episode of Teen Titans Go!

Kicking off the big three studio panels this year is 20th Century Fox on Thursday morning. Fox is keeping pretty quiet, so literally anything could show up, including Murder on the Orient Express, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Deadpool 2 , New Mutants,X-Men: Dark Phoenix; the Predator reboot or even the long-awaited adaptation of Alita: Battle Angel.
Call of Duty: WW2 Nazi Zombies World Reveal
Call of Duty is returning to Comic-Con with a new, dark chapter in Call of Duty’s fan-favorite zombies co-operative mode. Get the first look at this new zombies horror experience from the team at Sledgehammer Games, as they bring their rich horror pedigree to zombies! Be the first to see the popular zombies mode in all its glory, and meet members of the zombies dev team and some of the Hollywood cast of actors who will be surviving this year’s zombies horror. Attendees will receive a limited-edition Call of Duty: WWII Nazi Zombies poster!

Netflix: Bright and Death Note

Netflix is bringing two big movies to Comic-Con this year; Will Smith’s fantasy/action film Bright , and the live-action adaptation of classic anime Death Note .
David Ayer’s new action-thriller film, Bright, is set in an alternate present-day where humans, orcs, elves, and fairies have been coexisting since the beginning of time. Stars Will Smith, Joel Edgerton, Noomi Rapace, Lucy Fry, and Édgar Ramírez, and director David Ayer will debut exclusive footage from the film and answer audience questions.
Death Note is based on the famous Japanese manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. Cast and filmmakers from this edgy thriller will debut footage and share details of the project’s transition from fan-favorite graphic novel to film.

From SYFY and the executive producer of Eureka, Z Nation is the critically acclaimed action-horror series and SYFY’s top-rated scripted series, currently in production for season 4. The Inhumans have landed in San Diego! Special guests of the highly anticipated Marvel’s Inhumans unveil an explosive panel moderated by executive producer Jeph Loeb. This event series will premiere a version of the first two episodes exclusively in IMAX theatres for a two-week window prior to the debut of the full series on ABC.
The Lego Ninjago Movie
