Arsenal got off to a winning start in the Europa League following a 4-2 win over visiting Vorskla at the Emirates.
Pierre-Emerik Aubameyang got the curtain raiser after a swift counter-attacking move that saw Alex Iwobi provided the assist from the left from the Gabonese to slide in.
Two minutes after the restart Danny Welbeck made it 2-0 after nodding home Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s cross from the left.
Aubameyang bagged his brace with a brilliant solo effort, beating one defender before blasting home from 25-yards to make it 3-0.
The Gunners were coasting to an easy win as Mesut Ozil made it 4-0 with the simplest of finishes inside the box.
The visitors pulled one back in the 77th minute through Volodimir Chesnakov and the Ukrainian side added another in the injury time of the 90th minute through Vyacheslav Sharpar to end the match at 4-2.
In the other Group E match, Sporting Lisbon defeated Qarabag by 2-0 with both goal scored in the 54th and 88th minute through Raphinha and Jovane Cabral.
Arsenal sit on top of the group with a superior goal difference as they will be traveling to Azerbaijan on October, 4, to face Qarabag.
