ISWAP terrorist group engaged Boko Haram insurgents in a resistance gun battle in northeast Nigeria, leading to the killing of about 27 terrorists from both sides in Northern Abadam Local Council, Borno State.

It was gathered that Boko Haram terrorists who intended to surrender were confronted by ISWAP in the Gusuriya community, in Dumbawa village.

The Boko Haram terrorists were said to be on their way to surrender to the Multinational Joint Task Force at a border community between Nigeria and Niger Republic when ISWAP ambushed and attacked them.

ISWAP leaders were said to have proclaimed death sentences on any Boko Haram terrorist that decides to surrender to the Nigerian authorities.
