With all the social media war wedge at the Special Anti-Robbery Squad SARS, it hasn’t reduced the bullying some of its officials dish out to many Nigerians.
A Nigerian man on Twitter recently narrated his ordeal at the hands of some SARS officials. According to the man identified as @davidfakman, he was harassed by the officials.
In his post, he recounted how he was stopped by some of the officials and was made to open a bag he was carrying, which they believed contains a laptop.
He continued that he tried defending himself but was slapped by some of the officials. He wrote; “I got held by SARS today, because I was carrying a bag, that they believed a laptop was in, confidently I told them I know my rights as a Citizen, my brothers and sisters, I am still wondering where some of the slaps came from.”
NAIJ.com had earlier reported that after some SARS officials disrupted Jaywon’s private birthday party in Lekki, the singer’s management came to reveal what actually happened.
According to LIB, Jaywon’s manager Derek disclosed that the pictures going round on social media does not paint the true picture of what happened at the party.
Derek explained that a guest at the party got drunk and was misbehaving outside the singer’s premises. Members of the estate, who were uncomfortable with the noise of the drunk guest alerted the estate’s security who in turn alerted SARS officers to take the drunk guest out of their estate.
