The military has been directed by a Federal High Court in Borno to release a minimum of 313 suspected terrorists.
The court’s decision to release the suspects stemmed from the absence of evidence to implicate them following the conclusion of the investigation.
This revelation was made by the Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Buba Edward, during Thursday’s operational briefing held in Abuja.
In his words, “The court ordered the release for want of evidence after the conclusion of investigation and other ancillary matters.
“Accordingly, they would be handed over to the Borno State Government for further action.”
