Gluttons that guzzle
On ill-gotten gains
Oblivious of obvious
Consequences and pains
Arrogant and pompous
Allowed to despoil
Broad bodies of water
Vast swathes of soil
Exploiting Ogoni's
Once fertile lands
The lure of lucre
Grabbed by greedy hands
Oil sludge and pipelines
Besmirch delta ground
Anger and frustration
Heard all around
Protesting residents march
Under Saro Wiwa's flame
Banners and branches
Rights to proclaim
Villages then razed
Sanctioned by Shell
Attempts to subjugate
Truths tried to tell
Abache jailed the leaders
Concocted a trial
The whole world watched
His dispicable guile
Brave Ken Saro Wiwa hung
As nations stayed mute
But his cause always lives
When we fight for the truth
