Poem by Alexandra Apeh

Aesthetic Rose

Aesthetic rose
Love is as strong as fire
Many water can't quench
Neither can the flood drown it.

Can a man give all his substance
In the name of love?
Then who am I not to!

Aesthetic Love
How beautiful is thy name
With beautiful pronunciation
Oh! My princess
Thy thighs are like jewel
Thy navel is like a round goblet
Thy belly is like one heap
Of wheat set like gold.

Fabricated Rose
You offer me excitement
As if am in heaven but,
In gazing kingdom of thy Chamber
My love, my soul, my wine
My earthly world are one
But thy thine lovely eye is more
Delightful than ice cream

Aesthetic rose!
Let not the material thing
On earth separate
And it's master
Your left hand on my head
Your right hand to embrace me
Your smile to import hope for me
And mine in charge of export

Angel Esther! daughter of Africa
I was intoxicated
In thy strange vineyard
Now I know that the world
Has different color
For thy love is as cold
Cold than the winter of Jos.

My heart beat whenever
I saw the star and the moon
Smile at each other
As a friend, then I think that
It is not a crime
To love someone!
I like the flowers that smile in day time.
Am strange to the world but to you,
I think not.
