Meaning: Obalohun is a traditional title with an exalted pedigree. The most famous Obalohun was an ancient warrior or Eso who was the ruler of the Yoruba terrtorial boundary of the old northeastern district of Ohun. The territory was located to the northeast of Igbomina Kingdom. The Obalohun was in the leadership role in protecting the Alafin's long journey back from exile in Bariba country, and became the Basorun under Alafin Egunoju in Oyo Igboho.
