Henty Happy To End 9-Game Goal Drought In Croatia

Ezekiel Henty is delighted to have ended his nine game goal drought for NK Osijek in Wednesday’s 2-1 home win over Hajduk Split in the quarter-final of the Croatian Cup, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Henty last scored a goal for Osijek in Croatian league in August in their 3-0 home win over Istra 1961 . The 25-Year-old was out injured for two months.

The Nigerian forward doubled his NK Osijek lead in the 39th minute after Petar Bockaj’s opener in the 26th minute. Gyurcso halved the deficit in the 64th minute of the game for Hajduk Split.

“Grateful to God to be back in good health and playing again. Important win with a goal,” Henty posted on his instgram page.

Henty has featured in 12 games in all competitions so far this season, scoring four goals and is expected to lead the lines for NK Osijek when they face Gorica in their next game in the league.

NK Osijek are currently fourth with 28 points from 14 league games, while their hosts Gorica follow closely with 26 points from the same number of games.
