Iwobi Benched As Arsenal Bow To Man City At The Emirates

Super Eagles winger, Alex Iwobi, was left on the bench for the entire 90 minutes as Arsenal suffered a 2-0 defeat to Manchester United in their first match of the 2018 English Premier League season at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Raheem Sterling put the visitors ahead in the 19th minute.

The England winger collected the ball on the left flank before cutting inside and blasting his finish past Cech from the edge of the box.

Pep Guardiola’s men put the game to bed through Bernardo Silva who continued his fine form from pre-season into competitive game.

Benjamin Mendy smuggled a low cross into a dangerous area in the box and Bernardo was on hand to fire the ball into the net.

Arsenal will travel to Stamford Bridge next week Saturday where they will be guests of London rivals Chelsea.
