A media team from the presidency is spending the day touring the Abuja Metro Rail to show Nigerians how far the project has gone.

The metro rail is one of the unfinished projects of the Goodluck Jonathan administration and it will be the first functioning light rail in West Africa.

President Muhammadu Buhari had promised that all abandoned and unfinished projects would be prioritized and completed under his watch.

According to the media team, average commuter time from Abuja Metro Station to the Airport will be about 20 minutes. Normal speed will be ~90km/hour, can go as high as 120km/hour.
