Saraki’s aide reacts as Obasanjo meets Atiku, Oyedepo, Sheikh Gumi

Special Assistant to Senate President, Bukola Saraki, on International Relations, Bamikole Omisore, has reacted to the meeting of political bigwigs with former president, Olusegun Obasanjo.

Writing on Twitter, Omisore posted an image of Obasanjo, former vice-president Atiku Abubakar, Sheikh Gumi and called it a “welcome development”.

“Any gathering that brings people together more than trying to divide us, is a welcome development.

“Bishop Kukah of the Sokoto Diocese, OBJ, Atiku and Sheikh Gumi,” he tweeted.

Oyedepo, Kukah, Gumi all arrived Obasanjo’s residence in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital, moments after Atiku came in.

DAILY POST reports that the meeting is being held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta.

Saraki lost out to Atiku in the race to emerge the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) last Sunday.
