Best You Never Heard: Maleek Berry Joins Mystro On His Catchy Track, 'Bad'

A few days ago, Mystro dropped his Wizkid-assisted jam, "Immediately" — an instantly infectious track that seems poised to be the up-and-comer's biggest single yet. It's no surprise Wizkid told Complex UK that Mystro is "about to take the world by storm".

Well, only a few months before the producer and singer teamed up with the biggest Nigerian artist on the planet, he dropped the underheard 10-track project, Sugar, which was home to a lot of gems — none more so than "Bad" featuring Maleek Berry.

Like every other song on the project, "Bad" is skilfully produced by Mystro himself; and like every other track with a feature, "Bad" finds Mystro matching his enlisted act. Honestly, it seems like no artist — Wizkid included — can actually outshine Mystro on a song.

While "Bad" won’t be winning any awards for lyrical or thematic creativity — all the dance song clichés get beaten to death before we even get to the second verse — it’s about as catchy as an afropop release can hope to be.

As for Sugar as a whole, the project is actually littered with a bunch of songs that are deserving of their own 'best you never heard' feature — especially "Ife" featuring Simi, "Juice Box" featuring Nonso Amadi and "Atarodo".
