8 AMVCA-Nominated Movies You Can Watch On Netflix Right Now

It’s been about a week since the AMVCA nominees for 2018 were announced, and we are honestly still reeling from all the egregious snubs and ridiculous picks that seem set to make this their most embarrassing outing yet.

So, although we hate the fact that an AMVCA is one the most revered accolades in the Nigerian entertainment industry, we’d be lying if we said they haven’t ever gotten it right — especially with a bunch of their past nominees.

With all that in mind, we decided to scour Netflix to select the best (and most deserving) AMVCA nominees currently available on the streaming platform. From the impeccably acted The Visit to the solidly directed Gbomo Gbomo Express, here are our eight picks.

The Visit, which was directed by Funke Fayoyin, follows Chidi and Eugenia (Femi Jacobs and Bayray Mcnwizu), an uptight couple, who have their lives thrown into disarray when a hard-partying, loudmouthed couple (Nse Ikpe-Etim and Blossom Chukwujekwu) move in next door.

AMVCA Nominations: 'Best Actress in a Drama' for Ikpe-Etim and 'Best Movie (West Africa)'.
