Four months into 2018 and Simi's eponymous LP remains the gift that keeps on giving. At the start of the year, she dropped the video for her friendzone anthem, "One Kain", then followed it up with the video for her incredible love song, "Complete Me".
Now, to mark her 30th birthday, she is back with another solid video for a fan favourite track off the album: "Gone For Good".

Produced by Oscar — the genius responsible for nine of the album's 12 tracks — "Gone For Good" is all about how the return of an ex or former fling can bring all the feelings you thought you'd successfully buried rushing back to the surface.
"The word around town is that you're back in town, and I try not to think about it/ But it's been so long and I thought I moved on, but now I really doubt it", Simi laments at the start of the song's relatable first verse.
The video, which was shot by Joziewood in Johannesburg, follows Simi as she pines over an ex — remembering both the good times and the bad. It ends rather triumphantly, however, as she smartly follows Dua Lipa's "New Rules" and doesn't pick up the phone when he eventually calls.
