Oluwafeyisola Sylvester Adegoke (1937-)

Geologist, and University teacher, Prof.  Adegoke was appointed Professor of Geology, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 1971.  He also served as Head of the Department.  He led the consultancy unit of the Department to a discovery of oil in Ore, Ondo State among other projects.  He was also National Secretary and Project leader, International Geological Correlation Program.  To his credit are six monographs and 85 articles on geology in national and international learned journal.  He was awarded the NNOM in 1987.
