Kuje Prison gets new Controller

A new Controller has been deployed to Kuje Prison at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

This was communicated to our Correspondent in a statement signed by the Assistant Public Relations Officer, Kuje Prison, FCT Command, ASC II Usman Sani.

Sani said the Controller General of the Correctional Service, Haliru Nababa in accordance with the periodic rotational tradition of reshuffling Prison Controllers, Mohammed Isah has now emerged the new boss for Kuje Prison.

According to the Statement: “Controller of Corrections Mohammed Isah and Deputy Controller of Corrections Kolawole Sunday have taken over the helm of affairs of the FCT Command and the Kuje Custodial Centre respectively sequel to the nationwide periodic redeployment of command officers by the Controller General of Corrections, Haliru Nababa mni, in order to maximise the potentials of the command officers”.

The statement added that during the handing and taking over ceremony, the outgoing Controller, Ahmed Musa, enjoined officers and men not to relent in the discharge of their duties but continue to give the newly posted Controller all the necessary support that he needs to work even more than they have given to him.

Sani said Controller Isah, while addressing officers and men, informed them that the change in baton of leadership shows the high level of discipline in the command, which he said should not only be maintained but be improved upon.

“Controller Ahmed Musa was redeployed to head the Nominal Roll Unit at the National Headquarters of the Service, while Deputy Controller Ibrahim Shehu who was in charge of Kuje Custodial Centre was redeployed to the FCT Command headquarters office.

“The incoming Controller, Mohammed Isah, until this posting, was the pioneer commandant of the Correctional Training College in Kebbi state while the new officer in charge of Kuje Custodial Centre, Deputy Controller of Corrections Kolawole Sunday was deployed from the zonal headquarters in Ibadan, Oyo State”, the statement said.
