As Christians across the country set out to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, news about the death of prominent personalities has continue to dominate public discuss.

Within 24 Hours, Nigeria has lost three high profile personalities to the cold hands of death.

First was the passing away of Idongesit Nkanga, the chairman of Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) and a former military governor of Akwa Ibom State.

Mr Nkanga passed on in an undisclosed hospital in Uyo on Christmas Eve, his political associate and a family member told PREMIUM TIMES, Friday morning.

There are speculations that the 68-year-old politician died of COVID-19. A report PREMIUM TIMES is yet to independently verify.

Not long after, Dr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, former Governor of Kano State took to his Twitter page to announce the death of his father, Alhaji Musa Sale Kwankwaso, who died in the early hours of Friday.

Until his death, the 93-year-old was the

District Head of Madobi and Makaman Karaye in Kano state.

The death that has, however, shaken everyone is the sudden death of popular Nigerian producer, Chico Ejiro.

Channels TV reports that he died on Friday, December 25 at about 2 am.

Ejiro was popular for blockbuster movies in the 90s. It is believed he passed away after a seizure.

Ejiro has been in and out of hospital for an undisclosed illness in recent weeks and just finished shooting a new movie.

May their soul rest in piece.
