John Boyega has become a household name, thanks to his role as Finn in the Star Wars franchise. However, before he nabbed that career-defining part, he wowed fans in the 2011 genre film, Attack the Block, which the actor recently confirmed he’d be happy to do a sequel for.

The film follows a bunch of South London teenagers who band together to defend their neighbourhood against an alien attack. While the film wasn’t a box office hit when it was released, it was met with critical acclaim and has since become a lowkey cult classic.

On Instagram, Boyega uploaded a shot from the film, with no caption, which piqued a fan’s curiosity as to whether this meant we’d be getting a sequel. To that, Boyega replied, “If the supporters want it, then I’ll have to get back to Peckham ASAP”.

Well, we can never get enough of watching the gifted British-Nigerian actor onscreen, and we imagine that the sequel will be bigger and better. Hopefully, this actually happens, because Attack The Block is definitely one of our faves.
