President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress has won the 2019 Nigeria presidential election, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declares on Wednesday.
The 76-year-old defeated his main rival, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, by polling 15,197,076 votes in the election held on Saturday, 23 February 2019.
Atiku polled 11,256,945 votes to lose with 3,940,131 votes.
