Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso has denied allegations that he is planning to defect to the opposition party, PDP with 10 lawmakers.
The APC senator representing Kano Central senatorial district and ex-Governor or Kano State said he has no intention of such and the tale should be seen as a mere rumour my disgruntled politicians.
Reacting through his former Commissioner for State Affairs, Aminu AbdulSalam Gwarzo, he claimed the defection tale was false.
He said: “I have no intention of leaving APC. It is rumour by politicians whose ship is sinking; Politicians who have lost relevance and they want to be relevant by making reckless and baseless statements."
However on March 13, 2017, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain in Kano State, Musa Kwankwaso has claimed that Kwankwaso is planning to rejoin the party.
