Suspected IPOB members seen eating at the office of the army (video)

187 Views earlier reported that the Abia state police command has blamed suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) for an attack on the Ariara police station in Aba.

The spokesperson for the, Abia police command, Geoffrey Ogbona said that the attack was carried out around 6.30am on Thursday, September 14, during an ongoing military operation in the area.

Ogbona said: “Ariaria police station (Aba) was burnt down this morning. The people that did this we are suspecting they are IPOB hoodlums.

“The people came in their number, besieged the station and one of our police men was beaten up.” He however stated that the officer who was attacked by the hoodlums did not die.

A video of captured IPOB members has surfaced on Twitter. the video shows them wearing paraphernalia of the group and eating rice.

Earlier, reported that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has demanded that all those connected in the alleged humiliation of suspected members of the IPOB in Umuahia, Abia state be brought to justice.

The party made the demand in a statement on Thursday, September 14, in reaction to a video clip of the alleged inhuman treatment of some suspected IPOB members at the hands of soldiers on Wednesday, September 13.

The PDP said the right to life and liberty as enshrined in the Nigerian constitution and other international conventions must be respected by all.
