Strip Clubs In Kwara State Get Hit As Lawmakers Ban All Such Activities, Describing Them As ‘Unholy Acts’

  • As a way of putting an end to such acts, the speaker also directed the state government to empower relevant agencies to carry out periodic supervision of the activities in all existing hotels in the state
  • The state lawmakers had previously summoned the management of the state-owned Kwara Hotel and 8 other hotels, for allegedly operating strip clubs

Strip clubs and nude parties have been banned in all government and private-owned hotels in Kwara state, by the Kwara House of Assembly.

According to reports, the decision was made by the state lawmakers, after a motion was moved by Hassan Oyeleke (APC– Esa Sawo), the House Leader.

We gathers that the management of the state-owned Kwara Hotel and 8 other hotels, had previously been summoned by the state’s House of Assembly, for allegedly operating strip clubs.

The act was heavily condemned by the lawmakers.

Further to the resolution, all hoteliers in the state were ordered to stop organizing such clubs, by the House Speaker Dr. Ali Ahmad.

The Speaker further urged hoteliers to assist security operatives in arresting any individual or group perpetrating such evil acts, by installing Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) sets, to monitor what goes on in their hotels.

While calling for the registration of all hotels in the state with the Association of Hotel Owners, Ahmad directed the state government to “empower relevant agencies to carry out periodic supervision of the activities in all existing hotels in the state as a way of checkmating the unholy acts.”

Meanwhile, We previously reported that strip clubs are springing up at an alarming rate and taking over some major commercial areas of the Lagos mainland.

An investigator took a tour around the Lagos mainland, and exposed the top 7 strip clubs where the business of strip dancing sells even more than crude oil.
