Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi

A former interim chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, has lost his Kaduna State House of Assembly constituency to All Progressives Congress (APC).

Declaring the result, Professor Dangana Malam, said the candidate of the APC in the Makarfi State Constituency, Aminu Rahama, scored 33,975 votes to defeat his PDP counterpart, Garba Muhammad Sabon Gari, who scored 22,652.

Similarly, the gubernatorial election in the Makarfi local government also showed that APC’s Nasir el-Rufa’i scored 34,956, while PDP’s Isa Ashiru Kudan scored 22,301.
