Remembering those painted faces
Remembering those men that ate grasses
they believed would prevent bullets from
penetrating through their skins

Remembering those harmattan days when
women sang come back home with an
enemy's head
Remembering those fearful days we
were made to believe our proud worriors
were there to protect us the fruits of Ogume land

Remembering how proud we were of our
worriors that came back home with human
heads on their shoulders for the next IKENGA festival

Remembering fears

Remembering sleepless nights

Remembering times we praise our worrior for protecting us

Remembering we never thought of the opponents

Remembering we were glad to here Emu lost lots of their worriors

Remembering in pains and shame of our greedy past

The greed that never made the two neighbouring villages accept their defect.
