Cry of a Father

Cry of a father
At least I am well and sound should I say?
The gift of the almighty which
nobody can snatch
the way they snatched the right of my children
to have good education and health,
water supply without slavering
instead pushing them to beg
in the street without break

God given resources misused
times and times without pain
basic education with no infrastructure
teachers without qualifications
demand in curriculum with no attitude
for implementation

Creating dreams in the innocent recipients
transferring illusions to secondary institutions
without concern to the production line
similar to quality of the ‘pure water’
they are forced to ingest
Infected in addition to the attitude of the teachers
whose discipline you can't imagine
in a class as large as a market

layers and broilers a mixture of uncertainty
JAMB and NECO to confuse the story
in a tertiary stage that cannot hold the numbers
creating law as if in a jungle
making the believe that only strong should survive

(Dedicated to all my children who survive)
