LIFE.
LYF’S TU SHURT!
Appear it does just like a mist
For soon it falters, a broken wrist
Like a feast
Called off,
Even before the meal is served.

LIFE.
That one school, most flexible her curriculum;
Prime are the sum of tutors that wait her call,
But who are hardly seen or even ever are ever paid.
There are no walls to hold you in, but none of us yet graduated is ever let to go his way.
Some though are sooner let to go, than it should ever have to be;
Others are never given lift, however hard in wit they toil.
While yet some who work at nothing good or right
Are sooner made the custodians.
Many even are soon expelled,
Countless,
On no wrong that’s done by them.

LIFE.
It’s no such school you choose to go,
For one enrolled is so by birth
As do a Jew born of a Jew;
Birth pangs the fee that’s ever paid.

Here we are in this very school,
Life.
No quitting there should ever come to be, until we’re made to take a bow,
By any fault or none at all,
Though the fault is ever there, since the time of times untold.
And strict a rule as it may be,
We all are weighed upon our leave,
Whereat our worth is then assumed.
For who of us knows afterwards, and who of man is ever sure.
But if you ever would want to live, beyond this meagre life we live,
Why not we live to please the Judge,
That he may have us re-enrolled,
When all is done and life awakes!
