The peak of my dream you cling,
You
Monster
That
Dug the Arab Spring,
Flapping your wild
And wild
Wings,
Over
The land
Where two great rivers
Confluenced behind
The Northern plateau. Softly
And softly,
You perched forth
With a butterfly equanimity. Later
And later,
You swooped with
Eagle strength;
Distributing evenly,
Powerfully,
Like ocean flood:
Nooks and
Cranny, streets and
Marts,
Like unruly desert
Whirlwind.
Brutal
Gunpoint,
Tribal
Sentiments,
Could not hold sway
Nor hold the day.

Slash your bogus earnings!

Where Blacks clustered most,
Their political Honaries sauntered for toast-
With their rich fossils; viscous
Enough, but few so enriched

Public treasury losing sanctity,
