Hanging above like a nimbus cloud
Dark, gloomy, whenever it’s called
By hoards of these seeking my kin to shroud
Caustic phrase, sustained, leaves me appalled.

Child of the land of the rising sun
Sojourner to this part, pressing for my quest.
Taunted, called by my ethnicity as a pun
Caustic, bitter, worse than a lime zest.

Men, women, children of flabby jaw
Pouting, gruff on multi scarred faces.
Cutting with putrid intentions, their tool is the maw.
Never taking a break, these are daily cases.

Corrupt pronunciation of our ethnic identity,
You must have heard their glib - Omo Ibo.
