LETTER TO FRIENDS

Love in friendship
Has one beautiful lock
One of the friends holds it
But neither, knows which

The day the lock is lost
Trouble creeps in to hang about
Turning the house topsy-turvy

Then, the door should be broken
The intruder, ejected
Result is demolition
The soul of the lock, shattered

When the door is flung open
Their relationship exposed
Common properties are shared
Departing each with share or shame

One trusted friend serves better
Day without him looks like eternity
The vacuum ever fresh; unfilled
Loneliness knocks and visits
Heart keeps pondering and wondering
Watching and waiting the return

Parents could be shown
So also, brothers, sisters, relatives
To a child, a friend is not shown
Experiences and feelings select
Seeing a friend stamps a lasting impression
That perpetually rings and jingles
Drawing the child to the one
His sweetheart could not easily forget

Companionship is the soul of friendship
Nobody has all the qualities
One quality attracts the other
Their co-existence prompts friendship

Friends know their deep thoughts
Likewise; their deep feelings
They often than not operate beyond words
Their deep thoughts, no letters could express

Their meetings; anytime, anywhere
Their moods bring the agenda
Everything is a matter of discussion
Never time their time; never in hurry
Both; prisoners of their love life.
