More than anything else, the quality of Dr. Doyinsola Abiola which attracted her to the now late Billionaire politician, Bashorun MKO Abiola, was the depth of her intellect. Journalist and administrator she got married to Abiola in 1982.

Dr. Abiola attended Queens College Yaba, Lagos 1959-63, University of Ibadan University of Wisconsin USA 1970-72 State University of New York.

In 1980 she became the managing editor and editor-in-chief Concord Press of Nigeria. She was the first Nigerian female Eisenhower fellow. She belong to the organisation Steering Committee, Rockfeller Foundation 21st century leadership honouree member.
