Boko Haram: Intelligence Report Reveals New Strategy Suicide Bomber Use

Intelligence Report Reveals New Strategy Suicide Bomber Use
Intelligence reports have emerged showing how Boko Haram bombers now visit their targets at home after lacing themselves with improvised explosive devices.

According to the report, the bombers now have a new strategy of knocking at residences of their prey in the night and detonating explosives once the door was opened.

This information comes just hours after four female suicide bombers, detonated explosive devices at Usmanti along Muna Garage axis, Maiduguri Borno State, which killed two men and injured 16 others.

The bombers, as gathered, would approach the home of those to be killed, especially at night, knock and wait for the door to be opened before they would detonate bombs.

Quoting a security source, the report added that, “One of the suicide bombers detonated the explosive device close to a security facility in the area.”

Meanwhile, spokesperson of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, North-East zone, Abdulkadir Ibrahim, has confirmed Wednesday’s bomb attack.

“Rescue and health workers had immediately moved to scene after the alert. The victims have been transported to the state specialist hospital and university teaching hospital in Maiduguri,” he said.
