One of Nollywood most verstile character is Bimbo Akintola. The third child of a family of six, her family hails from Oyo State, although her mother is from Edo State.

Bimbo Akintola Obtained her diploma and first degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Ibadan.  Her hobbies include singing, dancing and acting.

Her versatility is evident in the different kinds of characters she plays in her movies.

In her role in The Mourning After she played the part of a woman of about forty years of age who has two teenage daughters and has to go through a whole lot of battles with the Igbo tradition, on the kind of treatment meted out to widows. She goes through a range of emotions; from sad, depressed to almost insane and then she had to cut off her hair to properly portray the part.

Her other intrest include talk show, whish is still in the pipeline.

Bimbo is a very socialbe person and enjoys hanging out with her friends. She is currently not dating anyone in particular.
