AWON
Awon great mass wedding festival is an occassion during which all marriageable girls of shao town are given out in marriage on the same day at the same time. It takes place between October and November in Kwara State.

OLOJO
Olojo festival takes place in ile-Ife in Osun state. It is a ceremony of plegde of loyalty by the sons and daughters of Ife to the Ooni (king) who comes out with a special crown from seclusion and holds consultation with the hundreds of Yoruba gods. Ife is the source of yoruba civilization.
