OSUN
This festival is celebrated in the last week of August in Oshogbo town, Osun state . It is a big festival that attracts visitors and yorubas in diaspora. It is celebrated as am mark of appreciation for the goddess of Oshun River for things done to the celebrants . Processions, Dancing and drummings continue after the sacrifice.

IKEJI
Celebrated by the Item and Bende people of Abia State, the great Ikeji festival lasts for eight days with a large turnout of all masquerades in the area to mark the new yam .

IDI - OGORI
This is a festival of the Ijaws of Yenagoa in Rivers state . Featuring boat regatta, the festival commemorates the killing of a ferociousbull in ancient times by a courageous hunter . Love boat scenes are enacted on sea.
